Swim lesson registration Oct. 26-29

Parker Recreation’s final fall session of Tuesday-Thursday swim lessons for children six months and older is scheduled for Nov. 7 through Dec. 7.

The Parker Recreation Center offers group lessons for infants, preschoolers and youth on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings or Monday through Thursday mornings. Level descriptions and a schedule of exact lesson times is available at the front desk of the Recreation Center or by visiting www.parkerrec.com and following the aquatics link to the Recreation Center pool page.

Registration for the upcoming Tuesday-Thursday evening session is Oct. 26 through 29. Families may stop in to the front desk at any time on these days to select their level and time preferences. A specific registration window allows young swimmers to finish their previous lessons prior to signing up for a new session. No mail-in or phone-in registrations are accepted for swimming lessons. Registrations accepted during the scheduled dates will be drawn randomly after the following residency priorities are met.

Parker residents will be placed in lessons first, followed by Douglas County residents, and finally non-residents of the county.All group swim lessons through the Parker Recreation Center are $38 for residents, $42 for non-residents for an eight-class session. Off-track morning lessons are also available on an ongoing basis.

Registrations are currently being accepted for the next D-track lessons, Nov. 6 to 16, and A-Track lessons, Nov. 27 to Dec. 7. Registrations for off-track lessons are taken on an ongoing basis at the front desk of the Recreation Center.Private and semi-private swim lessons are also available through the Recreation Center.

Certified instructors can teach aquatics skills to individuals or pairs by arrangement. Children needing to improve water safety skills and adults seeking to better their swimming technique can all benefit from one-on-one instruction. Private lessons are $25 per half hour session, $110 for a five-punch card, or $200 for a ten-punch card.
