2006 Parker Christmas Carriage Parade Saturday, Dec. 9; 2 p.m.
Join the Town and the Colorado Driving Society for the 2006 Parker Christmas Carriage Parade on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m., followed by a flurry of "Winter Wonderland" festivities.
This hometown parade will feature dozens of horse-drawn carriages, wagons and stagecoaches from across Colorado. The parade begins at 2 p.m. on Mainstreet in historic downtown Parker and kicks off an afternoon of festivities for young and old alike. Parade applications are now being accepted.
Following the parade, O'Brien Park will be the place to be! You'll enjoy live music by the Runaway Express band, an interactive petting zoo and pony rides and a reindeer viewing. The Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet, will feature pictures with Santa in the historical Ruth Memorial Chapel, an extensive craft fair and a holiday winter market featuring food, specialty gifts and more from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The afternoon will wrap up at O'Brien Park with musical performances by local youngsters and complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at the Mayor’s Tree Lighting at 5 p.m.
