Recreation Department Announces Spring Sports Registrations

Sign up for youth sports leagues on Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1-5 p.m. at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave.

This spring, several new sports programs will be showcased. A Girls’ Fast Pitch Softball League will make its debut as a joint program with the Town of Castle Rock. Girls in grades three through eight are welcome to sign up individually or as a team. The program consists of two practices and one game each week. Games may be played between Parker and Castle Rock, with the majority of practices in Parker. This season will run from April 30 to July 28.Coaches are also needed and may sign up by contacting the Parker Recreation Center at 303.841.4500.

Along with Girls’ Softball, a new soccer program is also available for tots! Mini Mites Indoor Soccer league is set up for three year olds to begin learning the basic skills and fundamentals of soccer. This is a four week session played Friday evenings or Saturday mornings for one hour at the Parker Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet. This season will run from March 16 to April 14.A new feature along with the Outdoor Kinder Soccer league this season is the option to play during the week. A 5 p.m. session has been added Monday through Friday along with the regular Saturday morning sessions. For this second season, games will be played outdoors at Prairie Crossing Elementary school.

Youth and Outdoor Kinder Soccer, Youth Volleyball, as well as Youth and Mighty Mite Roller Hockey registrations will also take place on Feb. 11 from 1-5 p.m. To serve as a volunteer coach for any of these programs, please contact the Parker Recreation Center at 303.841.4500.

Join our new Adult Flag Football league for spring! Why play football only in the fall? This non-contact flag football league plays all games on Tuesday nights at Salisbury Park. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to participate and registration is by team only beginning Feb. 1

Men’s and Coed Spring Softball registration will open Feb. 1 with walk-in registration beginning at 9 a.m. and phone-in registration beginning at 11 a.m. These spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
