Parker Youth Wins DARE Student of the Year Award

The Parker Police Department is pleased to announce that local student Cody Macaulay was selected as the 2005-2006 DARE Student of the Year and the winner of the Deputy Ronald M. King Memorial Award. Macaulay participated in the DARE program at Frontier Valley Elementary School in Parker during the 2005/2006 school year. Macaulay’s DARE essay was selected as the winner from all DARE participants county wide. The Deputy Ronald M. King Memorial Award will be presented to Macaulay at the DARE graduation ceremony on Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. at Ponderosa High School. Approximately 250 other students will be graduating at this ceremony as well. Macaulay now attends Sierra Middle School.
