The highly anticipated Grand Opening of the new 100,000 ft2 Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Drive, will be Saturday, June 23. We invite your family to come PLAY with us, with special activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and free admission all day.
The doors will open at 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting and an official welcome from the Parker Town Council. Facility tours, sport demonstrations and exhibition games will give visitors a chance to view the full range of activities the Recreation Department will be offering in the facility. Come dressed for action, as guests will also get a chance to try the venues for themselves with skill challenges, coaching workshops and children’s activities. Watch the Colorado Kodiaks as they put on an exhibition game of the fast-paced sport of inline hockey from 11 a.m. to noon. Chaparral and Ponderosa High School Inline Hockey teams will have an exhibition game at 1 p.m.
The Parker Fieldhouse was funded by a debt extension for recreational facilities that was approved by Parker voters in the November 2004 general election. This approval allowed the Town to use existing revenue streams to fund construction of new facilities necessary for serving our growing community.
cant wait to see the new facility... kudos to parker for adding a place for our kids that doesnt involve video games, shopping or eating.
