Volunteer Your Time and be a Victim Advocate

The Parker Police Department is seeking volunteer advocates for the Parker/Lone Tree Victim Services Unit. Advocates assist victims of crime (and surviving families in cases of death), domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. Advocates provide emotional support, as well as information regarding available long-term support services.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to work nights and weekends. Selected applicants must complete a full background check, including a polygraph test. Advocates will be provided in-depth and on-going training on the dynamics of victimization and the criminal justice system.

Interested parties should contact the Victim Services Coordinator, Nancy Prokop, at 303.805.3310 before Aug. 9.
