New NEW YEARS RESOLUTION?

Living Active Challenge gets your New Year off to a healthy start

Is your New Year's resolution to get in better shape and exercise more? Parker Recreation challenges you to take the Living Active Challenge in January to put you on the right track to getting into better shape for 2008.

From Jan. 2 to Jan. 31, your goal is to perform 180 minutes of cardiovascular exercise per week. You can run, bike, swim or take an aerobics class; even a brisk walk qualifies. Mix it up however you want, but you must complete 720 minutes by the end of the month. A board will be posted in the weight room at the Recreation Center to chart your progress. Everyone who successfully completes this challenge will receive a T-shirt to mark their accomplishment.

Register for the Living Active Challenge online at ParkerRec.com. Click the online registration icon and search with the keywords Living Active. The participation fee is $8 for Parker residents, $10 for nonresidents. This fee does not include daily admission to recreation facilities.

Please call Fitness and Wellness Coordinator Hillary Roemersberger at 303.805.3278 for more information about this or any other fitness program offered through Parker Recreation.
