AUDITION FOR THE PARKER HOLIDAY DANCE PRODUCTION

Parker area dancers ages six through 18 are invited to audition for the Parker Youth Ballet’s holiday dance production, A Holiday Extrava-DANCE-a. The show will be presented on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet in Parker.Auditions are open to all area dance students, girls and boys, ages six through high school. Parts are available for all age groups. Auditions will be held at Miller’s Dance Studio, 10841 South Crossroads Drive, on Saturday, Sept. 16. Dancers ages five to seven audition from 1-2 p.m., ages eight to nine audition from 2-3 p.m., ages 10 to 11 audition from 3-4 p.m., and ages 12 to 18 should plan to audition from 4-5 p.m.Interested participants do not need to register in advance to audition; just plan to arrive a few minutes prior to the appropriate time slot to sign in. There is no charge to audition, but children selected as part of the cast will pay a $35 ($40 non-resident) participation fee, which includes two tickets to the Dec. 1 performance. Rehearsals will be held throughout the fall according to the participant’s age and role.Now in its second season, this Parker Youth Ballet production was initiated by Miller’s Dance Studio, but is open to all area dance students through open auditions.For more information about auditions, call the dance studio at 303.841.9620.
