Neighborhood Services Offers Spring Tips to Residents!

Neighborhood Services Offers Spring Tips to Residents!

As spring approaches, the Town's Neighborhood Services Division would
like to remind residents that Parker has several ordinances in place
directly relating to the upkeep of residential and commercial property in
the Town. These ordinances help keep Parker beautiful and also help
keep maintain property values. As you may know, one of the most effective
things homeowners can do to ensure their property maintains maximum
value is to simply take care of it.

The Town's Neighborhood Services Department conducts both proactive and
complaint-based inspections of private property. Violations of
ordinances could result in a courtesy warning, a notice of violation or even
a ticket to Municipal Court. During an inspection, some of the things
the Neighborhood Services Division looks for are:

Abandoned/Inoperable Vehicles:
Vehicles without current license plates
Dismantled, junked or wrecked vehicles
Vehicles which are obviously unable to be driven, i.e. flat tires, on
jacks, broken windows, etc.
Note: Putting tarps over vehicles does not correct the problem.

Grass/Weeds:
Any grass/weeds over 12 inches tall must be cut

Trash/Junk/Debris:
No trash, junk or debris may be left or stored in the front, side or
rear yards. This includes appliances, indoor furniture, remnants of
wood, metal or plastic, brush or trash piles, discarded materials or
machinery, auto parts, etc.

Obstructing sidewalks, streets or gutters:
It is unlawful to obstruct sidewalks, streets or gutters with
landscaping materials, basketball hoops or other athletic equipment, roll away
dumpsters or other trash receptacles (with the exception of trash day
pick up).

Please take a few moments to inspect your property and make sure you
don't have any of the violations listed above. If you have any questions
or would like more information, please call neighborhood Services at
303.841.2332 or visit our Web site at www.parkeronline.org.

The Neighborhood Services team extends our thanks to you in helping to
make your neighborhood and Town a better place.
