Pray for America

Just thought I would pass this on, as it was sent to me today:

In WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, it's people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped!

There is now a group of people who are organizing the same thing here in America .

If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying: for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens and for peace in the world.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. [AMEN!]

Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Please pass this on to anyone who you think will pray for our nation.

Douglas County Democrats set caucus locations

The Douglas County Democratic Party has finalized its caucus locations for 2008. All caucuses will occur on February 5, 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

In Colorado, the caucus is the only primary vote to nominate party candidates for president of the United States. The caucus is also where you elect delegates to represent you in nominating all other candidates for Federal, state, and county public offices, and to oversee the operations of the party. It is also the first step in writing the party platform.

Anticipating exceptionally high turnout, 17 locations have been reserved around the county, all in schools.

On the party web site, http://www.douglasdemocrats.org, you can find the caucus agenda, the rules, and a diagram of the nominating process. You can verify your party registration, find your precinct number, and then get an address and map for the correct caucus location.

In order to vote, you must have been registered as a Democrat in Colorado as of December 5, 2007. If you have recently moved, you must caucus with the precinct where you are registered as of January 7.

Kaiser coming to Parker Colorado

I just read an article in the Denver Business Journal that Kaiser is going to be opening in Parker. Yahoo! My company only offers this coverage and it is very inconvenient to have to go so far for all of the services.

It is slated to open in 2009 and will be located at the northeast corner of Parker Road and Hess Road. It will be set on 6.3 acres with a 10,500 square foot building with primary care docs, full pharmacy and limited lab services.

Construction to begin summer 2008.
